The Lanvernite Succession
North Sambria is the more highly educated of the two Sambrias, and is centered on the old capital Seaneck, where half of the population lives. Seaneck’s great forts guard the entrance to the Inner Sea, while its mills spin raw wool into high-quality cloth and yarn. North Sambria’s rural areas are mostly shepherding operations, especially in the cool, windy uplands, where the growing season is too short for intensive agriculture. Beyond the Great Northern Range, the country is thickly forested, but mostly uninhabited due to its extremely harsh winters.
