Smallway

Smallway is a town of 1,500 in northern Lanverness, on the River Ax. It serves as a hub for the neighboring farmland, receiving, processing and distributing farm products. There are numerous smiths and other repair facilities, as well as markets for both local products and imported goods. Smallway also performs some support functions for the small mining towns in the nearby foothills, such as ore barging and low-volume smelting. Due to its location on a major navigable river and the Royal Road, Smallway has a good selection of imported goods.

Other roads lead out of Smallway—one to the southeast, toward Fensedge, and one to the northwest, leading to Mount Isa and Eagleridge.

The PCs met each other for the first time at the Queen’s Head, a pub in Smallway.
